About our Founder/Owner
Since 2006, Sandra Edwards has been the President and Owner of Edwards Learning Center LLC and Edwards Learning Foundation Inc. Edwards Learning Center is focus on raising the bar of learning – whether it be for students who need to catch-up, keep-up, or stay ahead in school. Students may attend Edwards Learning Center for tutoring in Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Homework Help, Study Skills, SAT and College Prep. Edwards Learning Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit, 100% tax deductible corporation and provides scholarship stipends per qualified student to receive after school academic tutoring.
Sandra Edwards is deeply interested in the area of personal and professional development and is committed to helping others realize their full potential. Sandra Edwards worked in Corporate America for over 18 years where she devoted a great deal of time and energy managing and facilitating workshops in areas of leadership and career development, organizational development, and diversity management for over 20,000 employees.
Sandra Edwards is a member of the Lehigh Chambers of Commerce, the Phillipsburg Downtown Association and is available to deliver speeches and lectures to schools and businesses on a variety of topics such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, diversity, team building, career counseling, effective communication and presentation skills, time management, critical thinking skills, and other related topics. Sandra Edwards is a true professional with an entrepreneurial spirit that epitomizes a resilient leader.
Sandra Edwards holds a Bachelor degree in Finance and Economics, a Masters degree in Adult Education and Human Resources, and a Doctorate of Management Degree in Organizational Leadership (abd). Sandra Edwards is married with two children.

EDWARDS Learning Center’s approach is grounded in an Appreciative philosophy,
where consistent and positive reinforcement through the use of
language and role modeling is woven throughout the learning experience.
The positive learning approach, along with providing incentives as a means to recognize accomplishments, allows each student to
maximize and reach his or her full potential.
Guidelines
EDWARDS Learning Center professionals adhere to the highest standards
in the conduct of our programs and services.
We keep all relationships on a professional level, and we encourage
cooperative effort. Our students’ welfare governs all of the activities
that we undertake.
The information that we derive from working with our students
is confidential and we will not release it to others without written
consent.
We know what our programs and resources are capable of accomplishing
and we do not make promises beyond those capabilities. We try
not to accept any person who we believe is unlikely to benefit
from our assistance. And if we believe other professional services
are needed, we will recommend them for your consideration.
Our Staff
EDWARDS Learning Center reflects its commitment to providing a
positive and professional learning environment through its hiring
process. Teachers/tutors are interviewed using the Appreciative
inquiry interview process.The appreciative interview asks questions that are geared toward finding individuals who see the good in people and student, and who strive to bring about the best
from them. As such, the faculty and staff at EDWARDS Learning Center bring with them positive behaviors and thinking styles that EDWARDS Learning wishes to highlight and impart the students and the community. EDWARDS Learning Center
also strives to maintain a highly qualified teachers,
and will first seek to find certified teachers, hiring teachers
who possess at the very least a Bachelors degree. Tutors studying
to become teachers will be used on a temporary and substitute
basis only.
Hours of Operations
EDWARDS Learning Center is open Monday through Friday, 3:30pm
to 7:30pm and Saturdays 9am – 4pm. Summer hours will be
scheduled according to needs assessment.
